Information about constriction:

Sometimes, even neighbours need to do a bit of construction! Due to this, you might notice some daytime noise on weekdays in certain rooms. If you have any concerns, needs or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the reception — we’re here to make sure you have a great stay!


Arrival

 

 

How can I get to the hotel?

Taxi: We recommend to take Oslo Taxi, both from the airport and around in the city
Train: Take Flytoget 20 minutes to Oslo Central Station and then walk 4 minutes to the hotel from the station
Private transfer can be arranged. Contact the reception in advance

 

Do you have parking?

Amerikalinjen has an arrangement with Onepark Oslo S parking house. Our guests receives a discounted rate of NOK 450 per night/24h. Just remember to inform the front desk about your licence number prior or during check in process. The address is Jernbanetorget 1, with entrance from Dronning Eufemias gate. The parking garage includes Plan 1 and Plan U, which are available for use – parking at Fyrstikktorget is not part of the agreement.

 

 


Hotel stay

 

 

Is breakfast included?

Yes, breakfast is always included when you stay at Amerikalinjen!

 

Can I have my breakfast in bed? 

Yes, breakfast can be served through room service. Order at the front desk before 23:00 the day before.

 

Can I invite a friend who’s not staying at the hotel to join the breakfast?

Yes, except when it’s busy. Please contact us in advance to check. Breakfast is 395,- per person for those not staying at the hotel.

 

Do you serve the breakfast as a buffet?

Yes, with an additional staple menu you can choose from

 

Can we bring the dog?

Yes, we are a pet friendly hotel. The price is NOK 500 per stay and you need to contact us in advance to give us a heads up!

 

 

Do you have a spa?

No, we don’t have a spa or swimming pool, but we do have a gym open 24/7, as well as a relaxation area with warm mosaic beds and a Finnish sauna. Read more here.

 

Do I need to book to use the sauna?

No need to book.

 

Do you have room service?

Yes, we’re happy to serve you in your room. The room service menu is available via the QR code on your in-room TV or on the information sheet. The fee for deliveries from Atlas is NOK 125. See opening hours for availability

 

 

Do you have a turndown service?

Yes, we do!

 

When is check in and check out?

Check in 15:00 & Check out 12:00. Early check in and late check out can be requested upon availability. Please contact the reception.

 

I’m leaving early and will miss my breakfast

Order an Early bird breakfast package by 21:00 the night before at the reception

 

I would like to surprise my friend with Champagne in the room, can you help?

Absolutely. For security, we require a booking number. Contact reception for options.

 

 


Rooms

 

Do you have amenities?

As a Nordic Swan certified hotel, we’ve reduced single-use items in our rooms. If there’s something you’re missing, we’ll be happy to help — just stop by the reception, and you can borrow it for free:

Dental kit, shaving kit, ladies kit, sewing kit, shoe mit, hair comb, shower cap and vanity kit.

 

Can we have an extra bed in the room?

We can fit an extra bed in most of our Deluxe rooms and Suites. NOK 600 per night. Contact the reception in advance

 

Do you have a family room?

We have a limited numbers of connecting rooms available. Combinations of room categories vary. Contact the reception

 

Do you have any rooms with twin beds?

All rooms have double beds with a double duvet. We can arrange separate duvets if you wish. Let us know before arrival

 

I would like a room with a bathtub

We only have bathtubs in some of our Suites. Contact the reception for information about availability.

The doors don’t lock right away, why? 

Our rooms are fire compartments, allowing you to stay safely for up to 30 minutes if there’s a fire in the corridor. The locks are engineered to take up to 30 seconds to lock, so you can still re-enter your room if needed.
